An early 1987 model TW may very well have been built in late 1986 and have that build date on the neck label. Be careful with this one as it likely does not have a proper title and PA is a very tough state which requires the buyer and seller to get the documents notarized. Since there is no such thing as a 1986 TW if this is what the title says then there is some question as to it's validity.

I think it's because there are less magnets in the magneto. Freer reving.

Just came in from a ride out back on my '87. Yep, fastest TW ever built.
