I'm a first time poster, so hope you can help. Bike starts easy even without choke. Idles fine, but stumbles when you crack the throttle. Will run fine at times and then start stumbling. I'm no mechanic, but have rebuilt this and other small carbs.
spark plug is dark, but not oily
main jet was 105. changed to 130 because that is what I had
pilot jet is 40?
what is stock jetting?

I'v considered replacing carb with one from China- cheap- but will it fit? They say it fits 2001-forward. mine is a 1998- old type carb.

Any help is appreciated>

You can fit the cheapo carbs and I’ve had good results. Gotta reroute the throttle cables and change the boot. Lots of good threads on here about the process.

Before you swap, make sure your current carb boots have a good airtight seal. Also might want to try adjusting the air/fuel mixture screw. And examine your air filter. My various stumbling carbs have been caused by each of these over the years.

Also you should confirm good fuel flow. A clogged petcock filter or gas cap that’s not venting properly could cause a stumble.
