Cabin fever and cold weather were getting the better of me until this weekend, when I was able to spend some time in my shop adding a few new features to my 2010 T-dub. It's ready for some trail riding now.

Instead of spending hundreds on some soft saddlebag mounts, I fired up the oxy-acetylene welder and made my own lightweight mounts from square steel rod, and coated them with primer and engine enamel paint.

Then, taking a great tip from T-Dubs Kid on YouTube, I removed the stock mirrors and added some inexpensive flip-out mirrors to the hand guards. Now I don't have to worry about tree branches snagging the mirrors.

Looking good. Trouble is, I didn't finish these mods until after dark. I guess I can ride it tomorrow...

Nice job on the soft bag brackets!......But the bike is far to clean! But where you live, MN, leaves plenty of time to clean this time of the year. I plan to visit a friend in Duluth this summer. I will be bringing the Dub, so hope to get out on the trails in that area.
