Ordered roller bearings from Procycle.
Procycle closed, bike apart, need to get it back together.

Just put the top race in, it protrudes, +1/16 in. 3/32, above the flat top where is it inserted into.

Due it being a roller bearing, is this normal?

Thank you

Crank it down - it'll be fine .....
Hummph, don't know if i trust y'all or not then :)

If it breaks, i'll bring it to y'all to fix.

Thanks.

as a fill to another thread i posted, the bottom race was in bad shape, top not so bad, but still slight dimpling.

I think that most people do not realize how minute of a dimple in a bearing affects it.

Yes, the All-Balls replacement steering head bearings do protrude more than the stock ones.

To make sure that they fully pressed in, you can use some flat washers and a large C-clamp or a welding clamp like this one from Harbor Freight (they are offering 25% off coupons this weekend!).

next time i'll use a c-clamp.
I know they are seated from sound.
as note i did not damage the race, nor bearings putting them in and they are fully seated.

I sure thank y'all for the info.
Need to get it back together and have a look at the wheel bearings.

Didnt realize HF had a sale going on.
went there this morning to get that 8x.xx bike jact.
only cost me 70$. that was good there.
