'93 XT225. It was ridiculously cheap and we just couldn't pass it up.
Needs a bit of TLC. All the stock lighting was removed 2 or 3 owners ago but the harness is still there. No ignition - the guy we bought it from installed a switch to trip the solenoid. Plastic is rough looking. Needs a new chain, this one is at the end of its stretch. Missing gauge cluster so no idea what the mileage is. Minor details really.

The engine feels and sounds in great shape. Lots of pep. Heck, I managed to knocked off an effortless 3rd gear wheelie the 2nd pass round the yard. Biggest thing is - it fits Mr Hide much, much better than his current XT 350.

So I guess you will be spending more time on the xt225 / 250 forum learning that the serrow is the best dual sport ever made.

gotta love cheap bikes :) (my weakness) looks pretty good, you going to make it street legal?
That's the plan. It shouldn't take too much work. One of the side benefits to Yamaha making essentially the same bike for 20+ years is oodles of spare parts. Heck, if no one buys his 350 all the lights are a direct bolt-on replacement, probably the gauge cluster too.

That just leaves a chain, cleaning up the plastics, and sniffing out a kickstarter as this engine didn't come with one. The electric start works fine, just like to have a backup :)
