Well this about confirms my thoughts. I have never seen a tw in this part of the state, some of the dealer's salesmen didn't even know what it was. I guess that is why the closest I have seen is 50 miles.
Seems to be a lot of the full fledged off road bikes though.
I know I'm unique and I'm on the west side of indiana, right on the wabash, across from lawrenceville.. I haven't seen another here since my father bought the bike like back in 87. I'm sure your further north than me, but when I get my bike running again, and if your ever in the area. We could definately hook up and have some fun.
Don't I remember someone from St. Joseph (just E of Champaign if I recall correctly). Mine lives in DeWitt County for periods of 2-3 weeks about once a year. There was one in the New Salem area, but I think its gone now. Tom
I am probably the closest to you. I am in Lafayette. I had a younger guy come in to work and tell me he was trying to get a TW that was a family members running. It was a 87 or 88 but only had 450 miles on it. He was having carb issues. I had a tricked out Harley that I sold last year and was in a few bike shows and the little TW get a lot more questions and remarks than the Harley ever got. Jim
