I'm an avid upland/waterfowl hunter. Will mostly use the TW for scouting upland (unless I can figure out a way to pack my birddog around on it) and for getting to out of the way spots for jump shooting ducks. Same for getting to out of the way spots for fishing. The bikes will live at our "Sportsmans Compound" in the Owens Valley.

Would love to see how you've rigged your bikes for such adventures...

You gotta see Ronnydog's deer-in-his-crack pic.

OK...I'm a gonna need to know how you mounted that. Looks like a scoped rifle case..I'll need a shotgun case.

Pretty cool.

I can tell my rear racks are gonna be to small, but need to wait til the wife settles down before I get a couple cycle racks.

That's one of the early Kolpins, before they went to the stupid knob mount thing. It has` a row of bolt holes in various locations so it can be mounted permanently to a vehicle. The mount itself is angle steel that uses the triple tree bolts, and the Kolpin is bolted to that.

It works great in the dirt, but it tends to act like a windvane at freeway speeds out on the slab.

I just sling a rifle or shotgun over a shoulder and ride. That's something I wouldn't do if there were low hanging branches and such.

Can you give the particulars of how that's mounted...thinking a cycleracks rear rack may give more options to mounting a shotgun.

This pic convinced me to buy my first TW, thus ruining my life.

Until our stated objective of barrister genocide has been nobly completed:

The above image is the sole property of Ronnydog. Reproduction without the express permission of its author expressly verboten. Lead has been determined to be hazardous to your health by some really smart gummint leadologist dood who now gets a pension on your dime for figgering it out. You have the right to remain silent and in fact it sounds like a great idea. Some settling of contents may occur during shipping and handling. YMMV. You may not ride this ride unless you are this tall. No animals were harmed in the production of this image. Meat is Murder. Do not drive or operate machinery while eating broccoli. Do not try this at home, do not remove tag under penalty of law, always enjoy deadly toxins responsibly unless you're rich, famous, or hold an elected office, celebrate your unlimited freedoms and have a wonderful life

He was lost in the wilderness at the time. Used up all his arrows firing 3-shot volleys just like he read in Field and Stream.

The deer saw it all and laughed himself to death.

Sooo much easier to carry a limit of quail or ducks...congrats on the nice deer, though.

SiS,

Not a hunter but love fishing and have fished the Owens River from below Tinemaha Reservoir all the way up to Benton for many years. Mostly fishing out of the Bishop area, Pleasant Valley Reservoir and the Owens below. Where abouts in the valley is your "Sportsmans Compound" located?
