Moab 2015 First Report 046.JPG

So I have chosen to look back on the time past....and now realize that after all those years away from riding motorcycles, that now that I have found the itch again, this winter is going to be rough....frankly I am not looking forward to football or basketball seasons...the time with family, especially the 2 growing grandsons, K~Man and Kam~Man, and the Holidays will help, but frankly, now that I am back into riding{after the first year with the 2014 and only 600 miles on it, I wasn't so sure}, and already 2400 miles since March and Moab....I hate to give in to the thought of parking the TW for the winter....

I do have one more mini trip planned, that to Waldo, Ohio, the small berg north of Columbus that my family owned a great portion of back in the mid 1800s....and home to the world's best baloney sammys: That is about 100 each way, through some nice hills with plenty of back roads, trails, and trees...

Waldo 3.jpg Waldo 003a.jpg

That trip will wait until early October so I can take in the colors of fall and take photos of same....but otherwise I am not looking forward to the late fall and winter that is heading our way....

Otherwise, it's gonna be a long season, and I will have to see what other kinds of entertainment and misadventures I can find.

In the meantime I will be posting the 2015 Moab and Upper Great Lakes stories{again} and photos{again} on the Blog.... :) Join me if you care to....most of you that were in Moab this past spring, will get a mention over the next few weeks....

Hoot, this is oriented to you, but also anyone else on this forum. NOW HEAR THIS!!! I have 2 TW's, and a third one on the way. You are invited to my area and the use my tw's for your riding pleasure. This is the perfect solution for your winter blues. I should have my third bike by the middle of Sept., then a trip to Freds for the replacement motor for it.

For sure going to put an Anti "Monkey Butt" seat system in place.......Montezuma and I have plenty of garage space....but since he is no longer married and his massive garage is heated, we will use that....;)

If Montezuma is no longer married why wouldn't you guys just work on the bikes in the kitchen? It is closer to the fridge, clean oily greasy parts in the sink, Listen to the football games on the TV, pieces of motorcycle stand out nicely against bright linoleum etc.............. Come on man!

Although happily married, at least you still remember the good old days...ha ha!!!

Back in the early 70's, I was working and living in Salinas, CA. and it was cheaper to just rent a room in a motel than rent a house at $21.75 cents a week. I did that for about a year until I was able to move into a 3 bedroom house that the Company owned for $75.00 a month.

I rebuilt a Honda CB 350 with a racing cam that winter in that dinky little motel room, had the whole bike in there torn apart until I was done.... ha ha :D

I'm gonna have to take a photo of Nick's Garage....XM Radio, 2 TVs{both with cable} Big fridge and small fridge...plus a Pizza Oven he just spent about a grand on....:p

No kidding....the place is crowded, only because he has so damn many Lawn Toys: tractor, couple mowers, plus room for the TW, full bar, etc.....only his pick up trucks are outside...

Nice write up Pat. Thought you did pretty good on those trails.

Say Pat, you could come out west again and winter ride with Mel or me. We can always come up with some decent rides year round. ( My apologies to those who saw this video posted last night, made it to tease Pat here but posted elsewhere. Pat's fault for when he showed his neat brown leather coat it got me remembering when I last wore mine and I got nostalgic and not anxious for winter either).

ANY...and I do mean...ANY self respecting man that has his own garage workspace, or shop....has it equipped with a Fridge, a Microwave, a Flat-Screen TV, a stereo.....besides all his tool boxes and work benches.

And....WHO in the world has bright linoleum on their kitchen floors in 2015? Are you still living in 1970 ? :(
Hmm. So if you have linoleum flooring in your kitchen you live in the 70's? Never did address the sink issue. Do self respecting men have sinks in their garages? I am making a list of things MY garage needs so that I can be self respecting! Maybe you rich left coasters have lost touch with us working class folks? Oh well. Gotta get busy dumping out my Keystone light to make room for some bottled tea. Baby steps....

Cloudy today, but no rain in the forecast...Montezuma picks up his new {another} Helmet today in Fort Wayne...quick 1 day delivery....tomorrow, clouds or sun{as long as it's not raining} we will head east for about 100 miles and back{?} before sunset....maybe...Waldo, Ohio, is the destination...

Meanwhile. looking back, it has already been 4 weeks today that we rolled into the docks at Ludington, Michigan, and headed across Lake Michigan to Marinette, Wisconsin....perfect weather on that Tuesday July 28th Morning:

A few things I learned from this photo.

1. Nick likes Bud light.
2. The carpet steam cleaner STILL has not been fixed.:D
3. Nick likes Notre Dame.
4. Somebody bought a smoker that see's little use.
5. I would NEVER let Nick stow MY rappel rope!:D
