You don't mention how much. I'm with Deepseeadan, I like the lithium iron from Battery Tender.

Those are basic lead acid batteries, just like the OEM Yuasa (and likely not as good). A basic lead acid battery makes no sense in a dual sport. One dump that you are slow to recover back to upright (>15 seconds), and you've got battery acid dribbling out of the overflow tube to who knows where.

Get a sealed battery: https://www.amazon.com/Power-Sonic-PTZ7S-Maintenance-Powersport-Battery/dp/B00I1KMO14/ref=pd_sbs_263_3?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00I1KMO14&pd_rd_r=GYR1PV8TFZ9TB0S4FX0Y&pd_rd_w=7qbUh&pd_rd_wg=5Cq30&psc=1&refRID=GYR1PV8TFZ9TB0S4FX0Y

Lithium Ion is great too, but for a TW might be overkill. I've had a sealed AGM battery for 6 years....no problems. Half the price.

Many are using, and are happy with small agm clones of the Japanese made Yuasa YTZ7S ($90). Search ebay or the web for UTZ7S or YTZ7S or CTZ7S or ETZ7S for clones in the $25-$30 range. It is slightly smaller than the stock flooded battery, which can be good if you want to fit a couple of relays for a horn, lights, etc. It is important than when looking at the posts as in the view in the first post, that the + terminal is on the right.

Always fully charge batteries before installing to get the most life out of it and prevent some premature failure issues. It is best to charge these small batteries with a low amperage output charger like the Battery Tender Jr., which puts out 750mA, which is perfect. Charging at over 1 amp, can also decrease life and increase failure issues. That's my 2 cents. Good luck!

Fishguy's link for a AGM looks very reasonable. Very affordable for those on a budget.
I purchased a pair of similar gel batteries two years ago. Gave one away as a present that has lasted well, but the one I kept died after only a week. Now I have the $100+ Shorie but justify it by the faster cranking speed that seems to start the TW readily and reliably.
Note: Just observe specified dimensions when considering a battery not listed for your intended application.

From what I saw I can't afford the Battery Tender stuff.
With batteries you get what you pay for. If you're working on your bike, trying to get it started over and over you'll probably regret getting a cheap battery. Also if I remember from your other posts, you don't have a kickstarter right? My tw is brand new and I still plan on replacing my stock battery very soon with a shorai so I don't have to worry about anything.

Yea I don't have a kick yet
I'm not a tw expert yet like a lot of these people on here, but I have researched the addition of a kick starter a little bit. It looks like they must be worth their weight in gold cause it's not easy to find one. I don't think it'll be something I'll be able to do.

Correct. That's why I said yet. I have found some but not in a comfortable price range for me. Lol. I been thinking about fabricating one from my stash of Kick Starts.

"Ok I was looking at some other lithium batteries and found this one for motorcycles. It is quite likely the same battery as the Battery Tender or Deltran which are just rebranded. Free shipping but takes -27 days. If you read through the bad english translation it is very informative about correct lithium usage.

It states around a 2000 charge/ discharge cycle rate compared to @ 300 for Lead Acid. That's @ 7 times life but since they can sit without sulfating depending on how much you use your bike it could be longer. As long as you don't kill it by over discharging/ charging.
