Bought a set of cheap handguards with an aluminum frame but they just wont clear the brake resevoir. What brand and type have guys had good luck with? Im running a 2013 model year

You can put a nut on the bolt as a spacer to make it work.

I too have the cheap guards on my TW. They'er not as good as others, but they're cheap. If you have a decent vise you can bend them to clear your brake reservoir. You may mar the plastic with the vise jaws, but it will work.

I have Tusk aluminum hand guards. They are my second set (once on another bike). They fit perfect, went on like a dream and they are strong. I would recommend them 100%. I think I paid $33 for them on Amazon.

I just installed a pair of cheap Trackside "Premium Hand Guards" from CycleGear. They were on sale for $50 versus the normal $100. I like how heavy the bars are, and the plastic is very wide, providing great cover.

The best ones I have seen so far are on Bucknutz's new to him TW. Hope he comes on to tell us the brand and if he can post a picture. His has an extra and very heavy bar over the front brake fluid reservoir and they are some very stout guards.
