I was mess'n with my carb-settings again; but this time, I removed the cam chain tensioner, to make more room. I put it back on, and now the bike doesnt want to run. like something is really rubbing inside.

I took it off via the 2 socket cap bolts.

Help please.

I don't wanna peddal bike to work tomorrow. I feel silly on a bicycle, now that I've got a moto again. LOL

Did you follow the instructions? What year is your bike? Assuming it's a 2001+...

Did you turn the engine over with the tensioner removed? Take off the chain cover and have a boo inside there. Sounds like maybe valve timing is off.

No. I knew it was spring-tensioned, but I thought that the unit would compress while installing it. Then I learned that you have to wind-compress the unit, then put it in. What was happening was, there was too much pressure on the belt, causing super-pressure. That's why the bike would keep running. Like a brake on the engine.

All figured out. Thanks guys. :)

Any links to the 2018 service manual?
