So it's that time again to change my oil which means that I need to remove the three panel plus the windshield just to get to the top reservoir.
I read somewhere where another member used an oil extractor and liked it so I purchased a Briggs & Stratton oil and fuel extractor from Amazon (approx $29) and tried it.
Well it sucked the reservoir completely dry and saved me a lot of time. Glad I purchased it!

I use an extractor when I change the oil on my VW passat. I just feed the tube down the dipstick tunnel until it stops hook up the extractor to my compressor and let it go for ten minutes. IMO it really minimizes the mess that comes with changing oil and my oil filter is under the hood so no crawling under cars for me! I've never even had the drain bolt off of it once and its a 2004
