I was going to take the TW out for the first ride of the season after sitting on the front porch all winter (bike not me). Started instantly so I thought I'd drizzle a little oil on the chain. I jacked up the back end to spread the oil with the motor running. Damn thing stalled every time I put it in gear so I thought the clutch was dragging. Maybe the neutral switch? couldn't start it in gear (God bless electric start) either. I was just about to take it apart when the answer dawned on me. I bet you can figure it out quicker than the 2 hours it took me.

Well I've got one more embarrassing than that.. I was going alone on a back road when 2 deer jumped out.. Well I hit those brakes "HARD".. The bike stalled.. Of course it wouldn't restart.. I looked at fuses, etc. Gave up and called a buddy to bring is trailer, loaded up and took her home... While still on the trailer our daughter stopped over.. She had just completed her cycle class.. After telling her about my problem she looked at the "KILL" switch.. Hmmmmmmmmmmm turned it back on, Amazing how well it runs that way............:violent1: OMM.

If you jacked up the bike to oil the chain, just put it in neutral and rotate the wheel. You want to take a chance on knocking it over and have it run down the driveway, or chop off your fingers with the engine running?

Yep, I'll add my name to the list. I was looking at a couple of tool kit spark plug wrenches in my tool box last week. I went over an checked to see which one fit the TW. Saturday the bike wouldn't start.

A sadistic friend used to randomly turn off kill switches.
Had several jokers in the Goldwing club that loved to do that. Practice got banned when one guy took it too far... reached over while riding down the road and flipped another riders kill switch.

Forgetting the side stand switch or kill switch is right up there with forgetting to return the fuel selector
back to on from reserve on a fill up, and tooling down the road thinking "I still have reserve" and finding out I don't
miles from anywhere, uly w/o a cell signal. As Kirk would say "Space, the final frontier".
