For me a front fender from Polisport worked just fine, the supermotor model in white. I made a bracket from stainless steel to fit between the fender and the front shocks. It also could be attached to the bottom triple.

I used an acerbis super moto fender, attached to a alum bracket I made based on shameless coping of other forum members. I'd post a picture, but the site said I wasn't authorized to use that file? Not sure what happened since it was a photobucket link.

If you are looking to raise the front fender here are some options from other members:

UFO Supermoto Fender

Stock Fender mounted high

YZ125 Fender

YZ85 Fender

Acerbis CRF250 Fender

I have a UFO Supermoto fender in white but haven't got around to making the bracket yet to mount it up. FYI: The white from UFO doesn't match the plastics quite right.

How did you guys mount these on the bottom triple?

If I recall, the underside of my bottom triple is not flat, and has vertical 'mesh' casting with very little area to do any hole drilling/tapping...

Thanks,

My front fender is cracked and I'm not sure how much longer it'll hang in there. If I want to mount something the same way as the stock OEM fender, are there alternatives or will I have to buy from Yamaha?? I'd think those high fenders would not protect you and the bike from spray as well as they are out of the path of stuff flung off the front wheel.

If you pop for the O.E.M., takes the time to adjust the bracket for a perfect fit to the fender before installing. It shouldn't be spread out, nor squeezed.

Most of these crack because the curvature doesn't match the fender and it stresses the fender over time. Most break nearly in half just forward of the bracket. If yours broke for no good reason, that was the cause.

I am biased....but here is the supermoto fender I bought with the custom bracket I made (my neighbor made...I just supervised).
A side note, Cut off the corners (right angle corners) so it does not hinder the turning radius.
