This bike was built and ridden by Jack Simmons who was a local hero based in Long Beach CA. It was a bike that I really made a big impact on me as did Jack. I was about 13 when I used to hang out in the repair shop at Joe Koons motorcycle shop. Jack was really patient and put up with a lot of dumb kid questions and answered them all. Later a friend of my mothers son ended up buying that bike from Jack. He had to keep it in a friends garage because his mom wouldn't allow him to have a motorcycle.

He never let me ride it  which was probably a good thing as friend of mines older brother let me ride his x-Ascot TT bike on the street and I proceeded to break every traffic law I could:eek:.

This would be a great direction for a reincarnated BSA to take for a retro series:

I really don't care where it's made, but I hope like crazy they do high quality work. Beezers were the business.
