I would appreciate a discussion of butyl rubber tubes vs. natural rubber tubes? A friend said that when a butyl rubber tube ruptures it tears while natural rubber tubes don't tear as easily. I'm about to order new tubes and hope to make the best choice! Thanks

I'm changing the tyres at the moment. the rear tube fell apart when I was taking off the old stuff, the valve stem detached. It was a 10 year old tube I think. How long do you want to get from a tube?
My bike is a 2003 that I bought last year when it had only 200 miles on it but it had been stored in a garage for 8 years. The tires look and ride like new but I doubt that the tubes will be much good for long. I want a very heavy tube in natural rubber, but I'm having trouble getting the write size for the tires on a TW200. What size tube do you use?

About the only rear tube available in the North American market is the OEM Bridgestone. It runs about $22 If other tubes are available I hope someone posts up.

Most tubes are sold to fit a range of sizes. Anything close will fit. If the tube size is listed in inches, 4.50, 5.10. or 5.30 will all fit the front. Metric sizes such as 120/90, 130/100, and 140/80 will also work well. For a super heavy duty tube try this.
