Greetings, fellow T-Dubbers. First, I have read all of the postings on carb cleaning on this site that I could find. I purchased my first TW, a 1998, a week ago and I want to perform the not so lazy man's carb cleaning by first soaking the carb in parts cleaner, then blowing out the passages w/compressed air. Naturally, I want to remove all rubber & plastic parts prior to said soaking. My question is, does the plastic choke knob simply pull off of the shaft it's attached to, does it screw off, or is there some other trick to it? Any advice you may be able to provide regarding the choke knob or this procedure in general would be appreciated.
Thanks,
