Rained an inch or so yesterday eventually turning to snow at dawn for a slightly White Christmas. So I ran the dogs for about 5 miles so before everything melts again.
We then hiked a bit, Forma Adventure boots are good for these sort of rides.
Dogs sure are sleeping well, imagine I shall too.
Merry Christmas!

The single track portion was fairly steep with a bit of snow over a loose saturated sandy pine needle base. I was impressed how well the ITP Terracross stayed hooked up on the snow covered rocks. Ran out of torque in second gear before I ran out of traction.
Am rather impressed with this tire as an alternative. Feels more like a skinny knobby tire on firm surfaces yet sinks beyond the center V blocks gaining floatation & bite from the full 8" width as things get looser. Road manners remain an unknown.

looks like that snow hid rocks like santa did with presents... looked like a bouncy ride. i really wanted to see you take that ramp at 1:23. ;)

no snow in portland, no bike either... lived vicariously in your saddle.

Looks so pretty out riding in the snow. I've been lazy, no riding!

I just sprung for this tire -- was going to ride my bike with the stock rear for a while but couldn't resist.

Muddy/rocky logging/ATV trails in Maine.

Please keep me posted on your experience.
