Hello
My friend Reggy is located in Northern Thailand and can make CNC parts using 6 hi tech machines.
Don't worry about quality, he's been into motorcycles parts for years and everything is well checked (he's the creator and former CEO of R Design in Belgium, he sold it and moved to Asia to create another brand called Masato Yuminashi Engineering)
He can make small series (from 50 ea) if we send him samples.
Please let me know if you're interested or think about cool motorcycles parts for TW's or other bikes.
Cheers
Just re read your post correctly this time, 'He can make small series (from 50 ea) if we send him samples'
It seems to me plenty of people on here would like more power/bigger engine for thier tw200.
http://tw200forum.com/index.php?/topic/373-tw-larger-engine-swap/
From other peoples research such as mr gizmo:quote 'It seemed to me, that you could pick a larger engine that would fit into a slightly modified TW frame then have a machinist fabricate a primary shaft extension. Then you, or a machinist/welder would have to fabricate a bearing carrier for the extended primary shaft.
I work for a company that has a number of machinists and real high-tech CNC stuff. I recently asked a question regarding a primary shaft extender. They suggested all the O.D. work would be very straight forward (getting splines for a sprocket). It seems getting the I.D. splines to slip over the stock primary shaft (on whatever engine) require a much more time consumeing process called broaching.' unquote.
It seems other engines do fit. Could your frind machine the parts mentioned, the primary shaft extender and bearing case to fit say a WR250X, TTR250 or xt250. i imagine if he could make some 'kit'parts that made it easier to swap out the TW200 engine with a 250 there would be plenty of takers. I for one would like one if it was cheap enough.
Or how about a cheaper version of the fat triple tree that would accept some upside down forks?. i have just aquired a used set in thailand and would be happy to let him copy the design if any members are interested. seems to be a fair amount of people wanting that upgrade but the price 1700 usd puts them off.
Cheers Dave.
Excuse me if i dont know WTF i am talking about i'm not an engineer.
