I had a 2002 and you just put the chock on for 30 seconds and it ran great. Now I have a 2009 I have had the chock on for over 10 minutes and it still doesn’t want to run. Anyone have any suggestions what to do?

You may want to try adjusting the idle, pilot screw and see if your pilot jet is clogged. Does it take throttle when the choke is on?

I think it is safe to say that most of us only use the choke to get the bike started and warm up for the first few minutes (If that).

If it never runs right even after warm up, your probably looking at this carb cleaning , jetting and pilot screw adjust like was mentioned will help.

Once temps get 60 or better , I rarely need my choke
