Had the day off today and the weather was great so I took a ride out to the Conecuh National Forrest. Road around the dirt roads and did some exploring. All together did about 250 miles today. I don't know if it was the best ride ever, but it was pretty fricken good for a Thursday!

Good ride report. Love the pictures. Working out how to post pics. After fumbling with cameras and losing good ones (including my cell phone!) along the trail, I buy cheap disposable film cameras, make a zip-tie loop, and hook them to a landyard attached to the mirror. Shoot all the shots, no focusing, easy to handle with gloves on, and CVS makes me a CD for less than $4. Once I learn how to resize the shots I'll post the pictures, but all in all it is a good solution for me. I keep one on the bike all the time now. Never without a camera now.

I did a 100+ on Tuesday, and today, my SO asked to ride with me, so we did 76 miles out and back, and she got to see why I like to ride the backroads. She'll go again. I put speakers in her helmet and she got to rock out to her favorite songs and just got lost in being out there in such beautiful country and the great weather.

We REALLY need to get together and go ride. If I ever can get my neck issues squared away, we need to do it soon before it gets more humid !!. Even a short ride on the North side of town or around the airport if you know any trails.. I think you have my Phone #, if not, let me know via PM..

Looks like an old railroad trestle bridge. Some of our logging roads out here is Idaho started out as spur lines for the logging company's back in the day. After they would log a particular area, the logging company's would remove the track and start a spur line in a new logging area. With lots of tree's in your photo, I wonder if they did some logging in this area a long time ago and this is why the bridge looks like a small trestle. Then again, the the planks might just be for vehicles. Either way it looks really neat to see.

Really nice photo's, thanks for sharing.

That's some beautiful country you have to ride in! I really like that opening shot. I also enjoyed the interesting shots of the bridges and gas pump. I can remember as a young man walking up to the corner gas station and buying gas for the mower for 36.9 cents a gallon. Wouldn't it be nice if we could get it for that now! 250 miles is quite a stretch! Is that one of those custom seats that was available in a group buy lately, and if so, how did your bottom end feel at the end of the ride? Thanks for sharing your pictures.
