I’m finally swapping out fork oil on my 02 with 5K+ miles. Used oil was pretty dark and smelled nasty. I’m sure it was the stuff it left the factory with. The drained amounts were very close to factory recommendation. Not sure why I was expecting less.

I’m installing cartridge emulators. If you have cut your spacers, what tools and process did you use? I have limited hand tools and cordless power tools.

I just used some plastic PVC pipe and a manual tubing cutter.

I'll try to find some pics to post, or else take some new ones when I can.
