Upon receiving pannier bag supports for my cyclerack, it was immediately apparent that the rear signals are in the way.

I did attempt to search the board, but either I'm wonky or the search function is. I found a pic of the bag supports on another bike in a luggage thread, but that TW didn't have rear signals at all, near as I could tell.

Is there a quick aftermarket option for shorter stalks, or do I need to disassemble and hack my existing units? Thanks as always!

Thanks for the suggestion/ link. I found that I just needed to move the pannier supports forward on the main rack, placing them in front of and clear of the signals. Still looks clean and places the load directly over the rear axle. Thanks again!

For anyone else looking, I purchased a set of Happy Trails rear turn signal extenders for $25 plus $6 shipping. I just mounted them yesterday, and they work great. There's a pin hole on one side to make sure that they don't flop down or anthing. I had to make a 6" extension set of wires for the right turn signal, but was able to get the left fine without having to extend them. If anyone is looking for a set of these, just call the folks at Happy Trails. Very nice folks to deal with.

I cut my stockers down. Ronnydog did his with the micro LED types in about the same location. They're attached through the tail light base.

I just got some secondhand cyclerack bag supports

First I cut off the nylon stap and buckle that was on them.

I got a 2' hunk of stainless threaded rod and a piece of plastic tubing to fit over it so it won't tear anything up.

Scored a pair of 30cal ammo boxes on amazon. 50cal boxes were too wide for my tastes.

Prepped and sprayed them with rattlecan bedliner.

Moved my kolpin fuel mount around

Rode around with a full load, everything felt great.

I now have just one tool tube stuffed with tools instead of three. One of the ammo boxes is filled with my c02 tire inflator with six carts,100' orange paracord, magnesium fire starter, spot messenger, tube patch tools, toilet paper, helmet shield cleaner and a rag, flashlight and a couple of other things.

I have a fender bag filled with first aid gear, emergency tent, blanket, poncho & sleeping bag that can fit in the other one if I wanted.
