Picked up a $600 2013 TW200 3600 miles Bobber today. Did not buy it because I like the bobber style, but the fact that it has already been cut up by a previous owner gave me a great platform for my build. Looking to build something like the bike Daryl has in the Walking Dead, also a mix of Dirt Tracker thrown in.

Plans.....
Change handlebars out for some dirt bike bars.
Replace seat that it came with for a original seat, also add a rear subframe to mount the seat.
Add front fender.
Redo the exhaust, I picked up 2 head pipes today and will cut them up to extend the exhaust.
Try to install a 6" Hella offroad light for the headlight.
Acerbis handgaurds.
Build custom airbox for the K&N filter it came with.
Custom AR15 mount.
ETC..............

Nice conceptual inspiration for your build. Won't tease you about chopping off half your spokes or shoe-horning in a couple extra cylinders although I am sorely tempted.
:rolleyes:You could try for the hair style of the lower rider though.

If you met me you would know that there is NO way I could pull off either hair style....I cant pull of any hair style other than BALD! LOL!

Some people should be banned from welders! I have a lot of cleaning up to do, also kind a have the rough pattern I want to build the rear of the frame into.

Wow your frame was really chopped short. My frame chopped as well, but at least its as long as the seat. Mine still allows me to install the rear guard (a short one) fortunately

I will be build the frame out in the back with 3/4” dom tubing, overkill I know! I will also be building a rear rack into the rear frame.

Got some work done on the rear frame today. I have only welded about three times in my life so please be kind!!
I could of went with radius bends in the corners, but I thought my way fit the build a little better. I built up the the welds in the corners, were the frame connects quite a bit to make sure they were strong enough to hold up.
So..... should I leave it the way it is or add a diagonal support bar like I showed in the first mock up pic? I will post a pic of what I am talking about.

The original has a diagonal supprt bar, and it makes it stronger. And I think it looks better with it too. However thats just me. If you look at the customised ones without that support, they have a shorter seat, or a flat custom seat. I think as you are going back to normal seat, the support works. The support is a bit shallower in the original frame though. Heres my chopped one, as it is!
