I got the chain & skid plate today and the master link is the clip style and it slides very easily through the pins.



Also, if anyone cares, the MSR skid plate is identical to the Ricochet I just put on my '08....right down to the UPC sticker. I've heard, but can't verify, that the Moose plate is the same also. That was all a concern for me because I was price shopping but didn't want to get less quality.
