Has anyone used the dial-a-jet and what were the conclusions?

I have not used it but was quite interested in the dial a jet until the manager at the local Yamaha dealership said that it did not work particularly well in either snow mobiles or motorcycles at our altitude (7500 ft). Since changes in elevation were the reason I was interested, I am now, like you, waiting to get opinions from others.
