That looks like your battery overflow tube from this picture. One end connects to the battery or battery box. The other should be routed down below your frame and behind the leading edge of your swingarm.

Great. Thanks. I thought it was supposed to connect to the bottom of the carb since there is a nipple with no hose connected to it. Is that nipple just for the gas drain?

As stated - follow the tubing upwards to it's origin - if it's coming from the battery, then leave the end below the swinging arm.

Battery drain pipe - end of story

If it's not connected to the battery - then let us know and we'll (collectively) figure it out

May not be connected anywhere if the original owner replaced the battery with a sealed unit. Just an afterthought.
