William E Mack. If you use photobucket, it is pretty easy. For some reason it's temperamental. Download pix into photobucket, then click on the image link and use those to post in here.

Photobucket seems to be the easiest and most popular. Smugmug also works. I have a photobucket app on my phone that I use because I take most pics with my phone. The pics I take with my gopro3 I upload through my computer by removing the sd card and putting it in my computer. Then I just upload them to photobucket on the internet. You will have 4 options so just copy the IMG "image" link to the thread.

It will then show your pic like this. Give it a try and you will see that it really is not hard to do.

I have a 2014.

Unfortunately, I only took this one photo with my BB before the wrenches came out.
It looks a bit different now...

Very sweet modifications! So what is the red material between the Ricochet Skid plate? I tried the Ricochet plate and it rattled and made a lot of noise. I even tried thin sheets of rubber on the frame contact points. I ended up returning it. If there is another solution (like you may have found), I and other would be interested. Thanks

Sorry, no solution to your problem.
I put some airfilter foam in there just to keep mud out but there is so much room down there that it didn't work very well.

Thanks anyway. I really like the Ricochet skid plate, but the noise bugged me. I recognize that it deflects up more engine noise, but it sounded like metal on metal.

Does anyone have a solution for eliminating this excess rattle when putting on an aftermarket skid plate?

BTW, bought my new '14 less than 1 month ago and I have 600 miles on it (mostly trail & dirt road mileage). In case anyone is interested, I did an oil & filter change at 350 miles. The filter was full (in my opinion) of metal shavings and the oil was pretty dirty. My T-UU runs quieter now and I find Neutral gear a lot easier now. I am planning to do an oil change every 1000 miles. Any thoughts out there as to oil (non-synthetic) change frequency?

I only wish I had bought this bike years ago!

Agreed! Any dino oil for motorcycles will do as long as the viscosity is correct for your temperatures.

...is synthetic a better way to go? And when is "broken in"? Per Yamaha it is 600 miles. But 600 open road miles cannot be equal to 600 trail miles?

Thanks for the help...

I'd wait until you reach 1,000 miles, just my personal opinion.

Still as stock as it gets with 5+months, 2 oil changes, and 612 miles.... Didn't ride as much as I wanted this summer, but Officiating/umpire work/new grandson, rainy weather, and life in general kept me from getting it as dirty as I wanted....who sez retirement is sitting on your butt? However there is still lots of warm fall weather ahead before I put it in the garage until spring:

Old school engines like TWs often do not seat rings properly during break-in when high quality synthetics are used. Safe bet is to stick with dinos. I use Valvoline 4-Stroke Motorcycle oil because it is readily available where I live. I've noticed steady improvement of performance until about 2000 miles on all my low miles and rebuilds, so I switch to Mobil 1 at 2000 miles. Doesn't seem to matter where I ride as much as how I ride.
