I'm interested in installing these heated grip wraps as linked below. I'm wondering two things. As I said in the Topic line, can the TW200 electrical system handle them? It says they draw 3 amps and my TW is all stock when it comes to lighting and other electrical stuff. Second, does anyone have experience with this product and care to comment on pros and cons?

Thanks.

You have the new improved charging system. If you found it was draining your battery you could do the led conversion to make up for the lost amps.

Qwerty I believe posted not long ago component by component power consumption but alas I could not find it. All you need to know is how much pull the reg bulbs have vs led bulbs.

LED conversion will only save 10 watts or so if you use bulbs as bright as stock. HID headlight conversion will save another 20-25 watts on the 2001 and newer bikes. 3 amp handgrip wraps won't stay on high very long--they will probably be too hot. You'll be on a low setting most of the time.
