I did a quick search and can't find any mention of these, anybody have any experience with them? Looks like I could haul my Tdub with my Subaru and still have a tent camper when I get where I'm going...

Not complete enough! Looks like $2300 doesn't include a floor...

Add points out several times that a wood floor is not included and gives dimensions for 2x6 lumber. Seems honest enough product presentation. Good reviews too.
Assuming you're referring to reddave's post....I could be wrong, but you may have missed his point.

it looks heavy being steel with extra steel decks and 2x6 lumber floor which can get water logged

I think I'd go with a roof top tent of which there are many awesome choices

If you have a huge family them maybe that trailer tent is a good idea but if only 2 people I think a roof tent on the Subaru would be best and then a light weight Kendon trailer to haul the TW and gear

I was just being a smartass! With that said - if I'd have to pick it up at a freight terminal anyway... Then why the hell do I have to go to the lumber yard afterward???

Stufidmotard has a Jumping Jack Trailer. His is really well made. Don't know if it is the same brand. Don't know how the Double Duty Trailer compares to it.

Montezuma and Hoot just picked up this trailer for our summer TW Adventures, and no tent needed, a motel will suffice for some 70 Something Old Geezers...and the 12 footer complete with wood cost us around $2500... 😊

No Thread HiJack intended... Montezuma is selling his 12 foot covered trailer, which while keeping the bikes and gear dry, is a pain in the backside to work with....

Nice that the Double Duty includes a waterproof bag to contain a wet tent in your haul vehicle if you need to break camp before things can dry. Not a fan of tents but if tenting it is nice to start with a level smooth floor above mud, rocks and roots that can interfere with a good night's rest.

So, after reading through the description, it doesn't seem like a bad deal. As expensive as trailers are these days, and used ones are fetching big money too, this seems like a nice package for the price. My question would be, what would a replacement tent cost (in case of wind damage, or whatever) , or is it something generic that can be bought elsewhere? When dealing with proprietary stuff, I get leery about companies discontinuing items or going bust.

Perhaps contact the USA TAIILER STORE and mention concern about longevity of the seemingly proprietary tent. I would ask them about a package deal of trailer plus 2 tents so you have a spare. Sometimes a salesman in order to complete the initial sale will offer a much better deal than if you later are just a cold call shopping for spare tent. That way he may get both commisions which makes for a good motivator to go the extra mile to make a sale.

I believe I read that a replacement tent would be $400.
