I have one here, haven't tried to fit it yet, just wondering if anyone has tried using one on their TW?

When I had my DR650 I tried it on. I don't remember all the details but I know it didn't take me long to scrap the idea. If you can trade it for an XT350 tank thats a much better swap.

I'd certainly do that if I can find one. That would be ideal.

Found a XT350 tank for a good price. Needs the dents pulled and painted to match, but that should give me something to work on this winter. Finally the TW will have a decent range without carrying fuel bottles.

IS it a straight swap with the XT350 tank, or do you have to do some mods...please explain.
it's not a straight swap... here's several links, peruano's thread being the main one:

an xt225 tank is smaller 2.3g vs 3.2g (stock being 1.8g) but almost a straight swap.

Yep, have to make a bracket for the back to tie it down, and get the seat to bend more in front. Looks like it's going to be worth the work for the extended range though.
