Read some good things about this so I figured I’d order one and try it out. While my butt dyno did not detect any boost in power (as some claim) I can definitely tell you the engine sounded and felt like it ran smoother, maybe a little more throttle responsiveness... figured this wouldn’t be a bad addition to the bike after rejetting and changing out the air filter.

Anyone else tried these spark plugs? Anything of note to report?

The only “good reviews” I could find where cut and paste PR quoting directly from the manufacturers website

My “instincts” tell me that’s a lot of metal stopping the fuel mix from getting to the spark, and I would prefer to use something along the design of Brisk plugs – but oh boy, they’re pricey

Think I’ll stick with NGK for now …..

I tried one but went back to OEM so as to be able to use the OEM toolkit's spark plug socket. Carrying a conventional heavy wall socket and driver to fit the E3 added weight and volume at expense of some other desired cargo. Did not feel any significant difference in performance other than possibly greater ease of starting with the E3. I think the stock plug and a little maintenance cured the sluggish starting better than the gimmick plug.

Yeah, I’ll have to see if I get that kind of buildup on mine. Wonder if that buildup just happens or if its Just negligent maintenance.

I still have a perfectly good stock plug in my tool/accessory kit just in case.

It is more likely a result of contaminated (Ethanol) fuel, and ignoring the need to “index” the plug -particularly crucial with the E3 Diamond, which has the potential to shield the mix from the spark

This is why I like the brisk plugs, especially the “Multi-spark” - https://www.briskusa.com/brisk_multi_spark_plug_multi_spark_spark_plugs

With Brisk multi’s, the spark is totally exposed, and will usually find its way towards the point of least resistance, eg the incoming fuel. Combine that with the fully exposed design, and the build-up the guy in the third link had should self-clearing (every second stroke)

There are however several different designs with Brisk, some with 4 ground electrodes, (although as those grounds are placed lower than the center electrode, the above should still apply, with no need for indexing on any of them)

Don’t underestimate the need to “index” a plug, which would seem to be a critical point with the E3 Diamonds ……..

I bought 2 spark plugs but never installed them (one for each TW). However, I also bought two spark plugs boots and did install them -- supposedly water proof. A little rubber collar fits snugly around the spark plug and is supposed to keep the water out.

I got an NGK Iridium and thought I would give it a try. When I removed my old plug I was surprised by the condition it was in. Other than a little carbon build up on the ground electrode it looked perfect - even had the original .024 gap after 4500 miles. I had one of those "if it ain't broke" moments and was almost afraid to change plugs since my bike was running perfectly. Put the new NGK in anyway and the bikes still runs great and now I have an extra plug. Apparently the TW is not very hard on plugs(or anything else).
