Planning to do a full engine rebuild on a non-running bike I picked up.... a couple years ago. I guess I've been busy.



Not really sure what I'm going to find until I open it up, but would prefer to get a step ahead on what I would need to put it back together.



Any suggestions on a complete gasket kit? Are the ebay bundles any good? Anyone ever go through Yamaha for oem?

Ebay gaskets work fine. Check prices from both and go from there.

I went through Amazon. It was a Vesrah complete gasket kit. Came with both side covers assortment of o-rings, valve guide seals, base and cylinder gasket for $68 shipped. Vesrah Complete Gasket Kit VG-2129-M. I liked them so much I bought Intake and exhaust valves for $35 shipped. Might also go for the stainless machine screws for the replacement ones.
