Hi All,

The New Zealand public are being short changed as we the TDub is not available here and we have to rely on used imports from Japan. Whilst our dollar is pretty strong against the $US I was hoping to import a used bike to NZ. The ideal scenario would be to purchase a used bike from somwhere in California (easier and cheaper shipping) and ship the bike from there.

Does anyone know of any repitutable companies / dealers that handles exports in the Ca area?

Thanks very much for any useful information.

From what I understand it is resonably easy (if you can wade through the paperwork!) however I haven't done one yet so I may be more qualified after I find a suitable bike to purchase!

There are a plethora of little changes among the same model for different markets. Investing some time in researching those changes could save some money. For instance, I know a fellow who imported a diesel mini-truck from Brazil instead of Mexico because the South American version would not need $600 worth of lights swapped out to meet DOT regs, and the shipping was only $300 more.
