I did the Grassman family enduro in 2018 and the Peacepipe family enduro in 2019.

Information for this year is here:

It would be nice to have a few more TW to go slow with me. Let me know if you are interested. I do not have any dates on the committee approved calendar yet but I should be able to make Grassman this year.

That looks like fun so I'll give the posting a "bump" so others may get another chance to see this offering.
I would think there would be many anxious to get out for some fun, meet new folks and have a safe time.

I was the only TW200 at Grassman this weekend. I rode with my 9 yo on a crf70. We finished with an average speed of 5.2 mph. I think the target speed was 10 or 12 mph. In unfortunately my top end did not seem to like the low speed hot conditions and sounds pretty bad again. Really nasty sound when caught going up steep hills too slowy. Small explosions under the gas tank.

Next stop is the peace pipe family event in western ohio, almost indiana. I hope to bring the teenage girls if I can round up enough bikes.

Fyi, peace pipe is postponed to October 5th.

it seems to be in Hoots neck of the woods. Would like to meet some fellow forum members.

When doing any steeper climbing, slip the clutch and find the "sweet spot" so you can maintain 5000-7000 rpm and crawl up a hill without bogging the motor. If you just try and use throttle alone, the TW will bog and "thump/clunk" pretty good right up until stalling.
If you already have the clutch slipping mastered, maybe a valve adjustment? I remember I changed my rear sprocket several teeth bigger so I could still climb in second gear and maintain some speed. It made it easier to ride a bit faster so I wouldn't have to put a foot down, which then unweights the rear tire.

Thanks John. I have recently started slipping the clutch more and it helps alot. Maybe I should try the larger rear sprocket. First seems too slow and second feels like no power. I know I just need to go faster...
family enduro was great. 17 yo did not want to ride so I convinced my wife to ride the crf 125. She was not ready for how tight the woods were. Tree fixation and high idle issues( my "fix") made her experience less than optimal. she will be feeling it for a bit, but I know she was proud of herself.

I now have almost rubbed the tusk logo from the hand guards. No idea how the big bikes get through this stuff.

We will probably do the Camp Cattail in Chillicothe 2 weeks from now.

Ohio TW's lets ride.
