So, I wanted some grip on my tank but shelling out $60 on a tank pad was out of the question. I began to explore the interwebs, looking for options. I discovered a tiny miracle known as Bumpons, made by 3m. I found a pack of 120 pieces for under $5 and thought it was worth trying out. I gotta say, they look pretty funky, but I'm a practical kind of guy... not too concerned with looks on a bike I'm riding muddy trails with every weekend. These little things grip like hell, that is to say, they don't budge. With just a little squeeze of the thighs, I feel more secure than I ever have on my Tdub. Pressing the outside knee into the tank while leaning through a turn provides plenty of sticky grip. Easily the best $5 I've spent on ol' "Twanda"
