Hello there, living as I do in the UK fun bikes such as the TW & BW machines are a rarity but I have had a TW 200 for a couple of months,I have some big trip's planned for mine. I would like to do the big front wheel mod but getting a pair of yolks over hear is as likely for me as a date with Julia Roberts ! can anyone help ? with either ! I rode a 18 year old XT 600 around the world 6 years ago & like the simplicity of the early Yamaha's I have so far removed everything unnessesary like starter motor, indicators, rear peg mounts etc etc the wiring loom is half the original size I don't trust electrics ! I'm designing a new exhaust with a heat exchanger for use in cold extremes. I plan to include the Pan American Highway in the next big expedition. thanks for listening, john

With credentials like that, you've seen it all.

I'm curious as to why you've arrived at the fat front tire for the PamAm.

hello lizrdbrth, reason for mod - hey I'm a bloke so as such like to take things apart that are perfectly ok & leave them laying around for a few months to a year then after the little lady threatens to take it all to the scrap yard put it back together & sell it for considerably less than I paid for it ! actually the reason is the use of 1 sized tire so I can carry just 1 spare which will double up as a top box & back rest
