Ok..Got my '87 out of storage today after five months in this long winter cold...Drained the gas ( I always change oil and other maintenance and put stabilizer in a full tank, then drain the carb before storage...), put in fresh sea-foamed gas, put the battery back in and checked the chain and tire pressures...Three kicks with minimal choke and a little throttle and it started right up... a few seconds of choke and throttle and it was idling as if it had never been put away. Amazing little bikes....So I put about 15 miles on and would like to remind everyone to keep your eyes open for cinders on the road. Around here ( western PA) and no doubt a lot of places in the country, cinder trucks were busy last winter! Until the roads get cleaned be extra careful on corners...I'll change the oil again after a few miles then do the same routine with my '04...As everyone on this forum knows-these are great motorcycles that bring back the fun!
