Man, those screw heads strip very easily. Even using a JIS screwdriver they still want to strip. I think that Yamaha makes them out of some kind of lead alloy just to laugh at us.





What year is your bike? For the newer models the part number is 4JP-14104-00-00 and is described as an Air Screw.

2008... that's the part number i got ...description threw me off...and they total suck...Both our TW,s striped.... thanks

I stripped out my drain screw but got it out...the parts fiche calls it Air Screw, #27...Is that the drain screw?
Yes, that's the drain screw.

I destroyed the head of my original one when I removed it. I used a flat blade screw driver.

When I put in the new one I used anti seize on the thread...and don't over tighten it.
