With the temperature in the high 90s we decided to get the Kayaks an Canoe out for a drift down Deer Creek. In total it's probably a 5 or six mile float which took us four and a half hours. We enjoyed lunch on the bank and a few cool creek swims in some of our favorite swimming holes along the way. The creek was a little muddy after a storm a couple days ago which made it fun traversing the rapids. Harford County Maryland has some beautiful creeks that wind through heavy timber and rock ridges. It's amazing to see the huge sycamore trees that line the banks with there roots exposed on the creek side from erosion. Here are some pictures from our trip.

I'm not sure how high the creek got up but it became dangerous for the deer. While floating I noticed two vultures sitting on debris in the creek. My dog Ginger also noticed them as well.

As we got closer Ginger jumped out to chase them off

In the first set of pictures is a set of rapids that looks pretty difficult to transit in your boats.
It's mostly a lazy creek with a couple dozen fun rapids, nothing technical.
