Anyone know of a folding shift lever that fits the TW?

Ater a quick search on eBay, it appears the YZ 250 shifters are about half the price of the IMS shifter.

It's for a TTR 125.



The IMS part # is 317314.

If you hit a rock or some other obstacle with the shift lever, it is less likely to bend or snap off, and leave you "shiftless"... ;-)



I bent my stock shift lever several times before I decided to replace it.



I guess it depends on the type of riding you do as to how likely you are to damage the lever.

Ah ha, that makes sense. I've bent both shift and brake foot levers and bent them back (not in the original placement) from various rock encounters. Wondered how many times bending them, and bending them back it would take before they break. Folding lever may very well help in that regard.



Side note: broke my foot a few years back hitting a rock coming up out of a creek bed. Interesting thing was the brake lever wasn't even bent...just my foot.

Thanks guys I will get an IMS YZ 250 lever, funny thing I had a YZ 250 about 17 years ago, way to fast for me. Plus very hard to start.
