i came across a picture of my xt225 with the oil cooler on it. just thought i would post to let everyone know these coolers will fit other bikes. i had to weld some brackets on the frame to mount the cooler. i think it fit the XT better than the TW
I make a clamp for the non- California bikes. How long ago did you buy it?

originally it was bought for my tw. a couple of years after that i sold the tw and bought the XT, the cooler was moved on to it. you are making clamps for the XT?
Are the down tubes the same size? If not, I can make one for it.

If I haven't got back to you, send me another email. I have been really busy with some big contracts.

We put it all together with teflon tape, and the only thing you have to do bolt it on cut he hose to the right length tighten the clamps. This is how you receive them.
Shipping is included also.

I think you guys are out of luck unfortunately. I checked with a friend of mine who may have had some, but he has sold them all. Mekdad also sells them on ebay but looks like he sold his last one out of 40+ of them over a year ago. I let him know you guys were looking but he hasn't logged on here in about 2 weeks either.

Does the TW really need an aftermarket oil cooler. I went through this same decision with my Honda XR650L. I did not put one on it. I'm just wondering how many would say an oil cooler is a necessity for long engine life.
Honestly no. Except for those riders amongst us who do slow technical riding or those in harsh hot desert conditions.

Thanks. That was my first thought. I never even knew what an oil cooler was while growing up riding single cylinder motorcycles and I never blew one up either.
Me too.

I have newer bikes nowadays that have them along with radiators and fans and all kinds of do-dads, I do worry that it's just one more item that might fail you on the road. Where is the simplicity? I like that better.
