Imagine taking that thing over a dry road-crossing.

And imagine, then, having to replace those spiraled drums in the field - once they'd cut right open from friction on the concrete.

Not sure of the amphibious part as there was a video of a college project gone wrong as the next video.

Our brown water navy experimented with anphibeous screw drive assault craft in the Mekong Delta during the Vietnam war. I gave a report on them once in a public speaking course to a surprisingly bored anti-war audience. I recall one of the models under evaluation featured self sealing inflated rubber screw drive drums to deal with small arms fire. They, like their Russian counterparts, were too slow and vulnerable for troop transport and never adopted.
