i think it would be a great idea if our forum had a member map. i have visited other forum's that put a dot on a map at the town of each registered member on the forum. i believe if our forum had this upgrade it would make it easy to have group rides. this is an example of what i am talking about.

I can host a google map just like that one. But we need the data.



The instructions for the page you linked to had someone entering the data manually. Thats the only way to do it and keep the garbage out.



I'll create a map to put the data in.



Whats the best way to get the data? Start a new thread where everyone posts a reply with their lat and long to be added?

Note to newbies: Never a bad idea (unless you're in a witness protection program) to post at least your general location on your profile. You never know when you might get an offer of hands-on help from someone, rather than swingin' in the breeze on yer own.
