Just ordered and getting ready to install 15 front sprocket.
The threaded holes for the keeper bolts are smaller than stock.
Anyone seen this?
Go get new smaller bolts and use it or get another new sprocket with correct size threaded holes??
These keeper bolts sure do not seem to have much stress on them. In fact they are screw headed.
Since posted - I learned some Parts Unlimited sprockets have larger threaded holes and if you have these somebody probably drilled out the keeper to fit. I think OEM size is m5 x 10 bolts.
More info since posting ---
Yes it was a Parts Unlimited sprocket with larger holes. So I had a keeper that was drilled to fit by prior owner so it would be lose on my new sprocket with smaller keeper bolts.
Solution - This sprocket/chain combination I expect to use for a long time.So I ordered a new keeper and bolts for <$10 including postage from Boats.net.
Now we will see how long to get it.
