I've been watching all the gas tank mods for larger fuel capacity here and wanted to see what I could do. I found an old tank off a Triumph in a local cycle salvage yard that was 5-gallons. It seemed a long shot, but with some cutting here, welding there, and a coat of paint to match the bike... voila! I'm really happy with it. Whatja think?

I'm lik'in the looks of this one. And 5 gallons to boot. You gonna have to share some info at our next TVTW200OC meeting. I'd be very interested in upgrading from 3 to 5 gallons.

Now that I figured out that 5-gallon mod, I'm thinking 50 gallons might really extend the range of the TW. Lessee, 50-gallons X 70 mpg = 3,500 miles!! Coast-to-coast on one tank of fuel! Of course there are a few size and weight issues to work around...

After this thread I think we should demote you to the CT 90 Board. They are always looking ways to haul more gas.
