Waiting... waiting and waiting for my swingarm extensions to arrive .....
My chain is SHOT... I have a new one waiting to be cut to size when the extensions arrive....
Plus some other basic maintenance to be done that I haven't gotten too ..

I had hoped to attend my first gathering. I made my reservations early and was all set. last Monday I started feeling a lil funny. Tuesday I thought, man I might be getting a cold. Wednesday I felt horrible, tested positive for covid. I am hopefully past the worst of it.
GOTG5 is coming up in October.

I was sitting on the porch Friday morning drinking coffee...
Looking at my T-dub just sitting there .
I thought heck if I can find that old wore out chain I am putting her back together and heading north...
Some idiot slung it into the woods way back in March when I ordered my swingarm extensions ....
Well I found my now very rusty chain. Sprayed it down good with PB blaster.
Was able to get most of the links to move. Cut out two links Slapped her back together and off I went ....

Very carefully turned the 80 mile trip into about a 180 mile ride ... Great day
I am not ashamed to admit I was one wore out old T-duber ...
Had the biggest turn out yet for the gathering.
I really enjoyed being able to spend some time with some fantastic people ....
Soaked up some sunshine , fresh air and worked on getting a little exercise ..
Thoroughly enjoyed the campfire time and refreshments ....
Took a few short rides solo so I could ride at my own pace and rest when I needed too ...
Said the goodbye's and headed home about 10 am ......
Coming home I cought a Yamaha R1 from Georgia napping on 27 south ..
It was a fairly straight down hill grade... A once in a lifetime opportunity .
The little Japanese zero against the F14 tomcat .... The dogfight of a lifetime .
I quickly assumed the attack position .... Feet on the rear pegs tucked down
as low as I could get. Balls to the wall I dived in.
Engine singing like a wore out sewing machine .... It was now or never.....
As I closed in for the kill I hit the guns. ( or possibly the horn ) ....
Gave him the thumbs up as I went by. ....,
A new land speed record for explorer 3..... 67mph indicated on the speedo ..... Lol
