I'm still new here....and I'm sure this gets asked a ton but didn't see it on the first couple pages...

What's a good sale price on a new TW200?...I have been looking for lightly used but last one in my area with 2K miles ('06) just went for $2800...for $3800 I can walk out the door with a brand new '12 with no miles

Is $3800 a great deal?...almost seems better to me than continuing to wait...I've missed an entire week of riding weather already

I didn't try to make a deal, but I noticed our local dealer's sticker price was $4490 before adding the other theft items (setup, transportation, his Lamborghini payment, yadayada).

So it prolly is a smokin' deal.

I'll say it is. I believe they go for $4200 new now before milking you with tax and other dealer fees. $3800 out the door is nice. I got my new '09 in '10 for $3400.

That is a great deal. Watch for dealer prep.

when I was conducting my search for another TW I ran across a leftover 09 (0 miles) for 2999 out the door, I must say I was tempted, But I found my 07 with only 700 miles for 1900 so I bit...

That's a good deal. I just got my 2012 for $3710 +tax +dmv. If you can get it for $3800 inc tax and dmv then I need to re-evaluate my negotiation skills
! Either way, its not so bad compared with the 06 unless its pristine and you know it has not been abused (its also nice to be the first to abuse the bike).

I live in Va Beach, but the dealer who quoted me $3,800 out the door was a NC dealer...nobody in VA even has a TW200 in stock...nearest one other than NC is southern New Jersey, and they are saying $3,900 out the door price

I'm going to give it a couple weeks before I bite the bullet. The dealership I got the quote from had two 2012's in stock and one 2011 with an OTD price of $3,600....so I seriously doubt they'll sell all those bikes too fast

$3800 for a 2012 is a good price. So is $3600 for a 2011. Grab one before they're gone. MSRP is about $4500 for either one, not including dealers add-ons & sales tax. Some dealers won't sell without prep, freight & admin fees but they are ususally negotiable if you stick to your guns. Sales tax is rarely factored into OTD prices unless your state requires the dealer to collect it. Here in Missouri (in my county) I paid roughly 5% in sales taxes at the DMV.

This was at the Rocky Mt. dealer...can't remember name but you can look them up on Cycletrader.com if you are looking. I think the 2011 they have is advertised for $3800 on there and that's the one I was working with on pricing until they said they could do the 2012 for the same price.

I did find out, however, that their 'Out The Door' price didn't include any tax/title fees that I would have to pay when registering in VA....it was pretty much just including any dealer setup/delivery fees, so it isn't a true OTD in my opinion

****In other news...totally lucked out and had a guy contact me yesterday about his TW...he didn't know how to use Craigslist but had a buddy of his tell him about my 'Wanted' add. He called me about his 2010 TW, and I immediately jumped on it. IT ONLY HAD 40 MILES ON IT (not misspelled...actually forty). He was asking $2900, but I got him down to $2600...everything came with it...original receipts, Yamaha cover...everything

I couldn't be happier with my purchase....I already added 20 more miles before registering it in my name...so it has about 60 on it now

Sounds like a great price for a great bike!
