Shit man, that's rough. Glad you survived and you have plans to ride again. Scary. Just another good reminder that anything goes when you are on two wheels.

I remember when you reported that. Wow, really put you out of action! I think a bunch of us have broken things over the years that doesn't allow us to do what we did before we broke it. Sure do hope things are looking up.I am rehabbing now from a face-plant in oct of 2010. Hit a dog at around 50 miles an hour on a hardtop road.

Check out my gallery. There are numerous mods which make the TW ideal for what you plan on doing with it. I have the same intentions.Just bought a 2013 TW. I want to use it for camping and around town for errands mostly. Maybe an old fire trail or some beach riding once in a while. I know mods are individual preference but I'd like to ask what mods would be recommended for this type of use in order to make the bike dependable and nice to ride. That is where did the factory fall short and what can be added to make up for any short falls?
Thanks all.
Its a 6-LED Light strip that I wired directly into the high beam headlight switch. I had to make an extension to the bracket that came with it and then I mounted it to the fender bracket I made for the high mount fender. Its crazy bright, and I have it pointed up just a tad so it really reaches down the road (I used to work a night shift and drove home on back roads with no lines and lots of deer)....Tell me more about the light strip please.
