Being a newbie to the TW200, I have a question about handguards. Is there a universal fit for these things, other than the diameter of the bar? Do they all clear the brake and clutch levers allowing full range of motion or do they come in different sizes? For example, will this inexpensive set on ebay fit on the TW?

Anybody have any recommendations for these that don't cost $75-80 and up?

Thanks.

Those look an awful lot like the Emgos on Tdud. If they are Emgos, they fit.

Those guards I referred to in the first post on here arrived today and they look like they will fit fine and seem pretty solid and sturdy. I'll probably get them on in the next day or two when I get up the nerve to cut into my grips. Post pics later.

Grips are cheap. Silicon grips and gel grips are a huge improvement over stock. Cut freely.

I got my eBay guards on after a little modification to the mounts. The expansion bolt and polyvinyl tubing over it wasn't large enough in diameter after tightening up the nut inside, so I covered it with a piece of old garden hose after removing the outer covering of the hose and the wrapping just underneath that. That assembly then slid in snug to the handlebars and tightening up the expansion bolt gave a very solid fit.

Oh the trauma of cutting off the ends of the grips and the throttle tube!

I also had to slide the brake and mirror assembly inboard about a half inch to make sure the end of the brake lever had 1/8"-1/4" inch clearance from the guard for full range of motion. All in all, pretty easy. looks good, and should provide some protection in case of a whoopshit.

So now with the rear cyclerack, Jimbo shield, and handguards, I'm all set?

I forgot to add - I also found an inexpensive cover on eBay (from China - $12, including shipping, how do they do that?)to keep the morning dew and rain and dust off my bike. Another worthwhile investment.

China does that by having absolutely no respect for working conditions. Public schools are encouraged to fund themselves by regularly scheduled vocational educational experiences. Usually, most of the income from regularaly scheduled vocational educational experiences goes to local politicians and entreprenuers, though. Recently a regularly scheduled educational experience went awry and an explosion in an elementary school killed 50 students and burned dozens of others. They were making fireworks.
